Our clients are on information overload.

As salespeople, it’s easy for us to become part of the problem.

We send documents, links, proposals, you name it, daily.

Typically, we label them with our internal number or jargon.

We think the client will “get” the reference.

They don’t.

Make it easier on them by labeling your resources in terms your client will understand.

You’ll save them time when they search for your information later.

Consider including your company name, date, or project name as part of the file name.

Pro tip: Avoid using your client’s company name when you save the file (most clients have thousands of files that begin with their organization’s name).
