Focus on the outcome

I’m fortunate to attend the PPAI – Promotional Products Association International Expo in Las Vegas this week.

During an education session, Sarah Whitaker gave a masterclass to the 200 or so attendees in eight words.

“Care more about the outcome than the sale.”

Sarah’s comment was part of her answer about how to build client relationships.

It’s also a terrific way to create value, build trust, and develop loyalty.

Focusing on the outcome allows you to solve the problem.

In particular when your solution isn’t a viable option.
