My mission is to help your business thrive.

I love branded merchandise and apparel (quarter-zips, anyone?) and working with promotional product distributors to address their sales and business challenges. I love teaching and coaching teams and cheering on individuals in the industry.

Here’s the deal. After spending nearly 35 years in the print and promo industry, I’ve made a lot of mistakes (and learned from them). By working with me, you can avoid them (I hope). 

Currently, I’m the VP of Sales for Reno Type, a direct mail, print and promo company. Working in a small, entrepreneurial environment gives me first-hand experience of what distributors go through regularly. 

Before joining  Reno Type, I worked at AIA Corporation and Staples Promotional Products. At AIA, I worked with distributors and their salespeople on sales strategies and tactics while managing nearly $200 million in revenue with the account management and business development teams. I enjoyed working with and learning from a group of dedicated professionals who challenged me to improve every day.

While I was at Staples, I oversaw a $45 million regional sales team and worked with end-buying clients such as Apple, Intel, American Honda, and others. I was fortunate to work alongside various creative and talented sales and support teams.

My wife and business partner, Jackie Shelton, and I sold our home before becoming digital nomads in late 2022.  We traveled throughout Europe for several months before returning to the US. In 2024, we’ll begin splitting our time between the US and Portugal, where we have purchased a home. 

We are also filmmakers and recently made our first short film, Lost in Memories. Jackie wrote and directed the film, and we have collaborated on many other scripts and are eager to produce more movies soon.

Make it easier on them by labeling your resources in terms your client will understand. You’ll save them time when they search for your information later.
